Kavita Patel, MD

3rd Year

Kavita completed her medical training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. During medical school she cultivated her interest in underserved medicine, and was awarded the Global Health Fellowship that enabled her to spend a full academic year working in clinics in Latin America. During residency she has maintained her commitment to community health. She serves as a health educator at a non-profit organization in Durham that offers social services to the underserved minority population. She also spent one month rotating at the Department of Health in Rosario, Argentina. Kavita is fluent in Spanish and Hindi. Her hobbies include reading biographies and trying new recipes.
