Babarinde Fadirepo, MD

2008 Residency Graduate

Dr. Fadirepo was born in Providence Rhode Island, went to elementary and high school in Nigeria, and college and medical school in Minnesota. He chose the Duke Family Medicine Residency Program because of its emphasis of the community aspects of medicine and of preparing residents to make an impact in the health climate of the country and the world. Dr. Fadirepo's career aspirations are to work in the World Health Organization, and involved in health care in the US and third world countries.

His other interests are playing instruments, salsa dancing, and traveling. He is glad to be at Duke for the great residents in the program and the great opportunities within the Duke system. Raleigh -Durham is a nice place to live because it is not too big or too small. Housing is affordable and traffic is not much of a problem. For those that don't like the cold, the weather is great.

"I was attracted to Duke because of its reputation as a world class institution, where one can get the best training in medicine. At Duke I trained under some of the best specialists in the world. I had the chance to follow my own interests, including a month rotation in a Peruvian hospital for the indigent."
