Kristi Giemza, MSN, APRN, CS
Mrs. Giemza received a BA in Biology at Carson-Newman College in 1993. She received the MSN degree at Vanderbilt University in 1997.
For two years following her graduation in 1997, she practiced in family practice clinics in Southwestern Virginia. Since moving to Durham in 2000, she has provided health care within two innovative collaborative community health programs which addressed the health care needs of Durham's underserved populations. During that time, under the auspices of Duke Community Medicine and Lincoln Community Health Center, she dealt primarily with the management of chronic illnesses including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma. She also obtained her certification as a diabetes educator in 2002.
Mrs. Giemza joined family medicine as a clinician and consulting associate in June 2004. She is married and has a 1 year old son.
