The Duke Fellowship in Palliative Medicine
The Duke Fellowship in Palliative Medicine is a two to three year program designed to train future leaders in academic palliative care.
Fellows graduate the program with a strong background in palliative medicine, with (a) experience in the clinical practice of palliative care in numerous, diverse, inpatient and outpatient settings, (b) an ability to communicate about palliative care and to advocate for its advancement through research and education, and (c) a solid base of research skills, with a project ready to submit for publication. A Certificate of Added Qualification is available from the American Board of Family Medicine. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, hold an MD or DO degree, and be Board eligible in a relevant specialty.
